How to Customize the Start Menu
Question : How can I change the e-mail program and Web browser
listed at the top of the Windows XP Start menu from the defaults of Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express?
Answer : If you have installed other programs to use for your
Internet mail and browsing needs, you can move them to the top of the Start
menu by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Properties. On the
Start Menu tab, click Customize.
On the General tab of this Customize Start Menu box, you'll find pop-up
menus that allow you to select your preferred programs for Internet Web
browsing and e-mail. In this dialog box, you can also choose an icon size for
the items listed on your Start menu and select the number of programs listed.
Click O.K. when you are done making changes. |
