Synchronising your computer's clock
Question : How do you set the computer's time to an Internet clock?
Answer : Windows XP and Mac OS X include the ability to synchronize the computer's
clock with an Internet time server. In Windows XP, right-click on the clock in the taskbar and choose
Adjust Date/Time from the menu. In the Date and Time Properties box, click on the Internet Time tab.
Check the box to synchronize the PC with an Internet time server and then select a server from the
drop-down menu. Click the Update Now button to update your system clock before clicking OK to close the box.
In Mac OS X, select System Preferences from the Apple menu and click on the Date & Time icon.
On the General tab, check the box next to "Set Date & Time automatically" and choose the time server that matches your geographical location. |
